Wilbury Way N18 1UY.\nLondon Rivers Week\, now in its eighth year\, is back from 22nd June to 30th June – and this year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever. London Rivers Week is a week-long annual campaign inspiring the public to celebrate all of London’s rivers and the many projects taking place to protect them.\nThe Pymmes Brookers will play their part by carrying out a clean up and balsam bash at Wilbury Way. DESCRIPTION:Enfield Council has recently completed the construction of a new wetland at Wilbury Way Open Space in Edmonton. This opens a new section of the river which had previously been hidden behind fences. It also means that there is another section of the river needing our attention. The map below shows the Wilbury Way Open Space and the brook adjacent to it. \n\n\nEnfield have cleared the banks and surroundings on the south side of the river as part of the wetland works but the river and the north bank will need some work from the Pymmes Brookers..It will be a great opportunity to see the new wetland and to enhance the local area.\n\nIf you are able to join us on Saturday 26th August from 10am please reply to this email to let me know.
